T-Beam Launching Ceremony Held at Section 6 Kuantan, Pahang
10 November 2022, CCC-ECRL has achieved another significant milestone as it launched the first two T-Beam launching at Bridge 4, Kampung Padang, Kuantan Pahang and Bride 16, Kemaman, Terengganu said, Mr Kong Qi, Managing Director of China Communications Construction (ECRL) on this launching ceremony today.
The ceremony was held in Section 6 Kuantan, Pahang. Among the special guests who attended the ceremony were from Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL), Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Darwis Abdul Razak, the Managing Director of China Communications Construction (ECRL) Mr Kong Qi, Mr Liu Jianming, Head of Construction of China Communications Construction (ECRL) Sdn Bhd and other relevant officers.
He is also very proud of the determination, effort and hard work of all staff in achieving the superstructure work progress, and hopes to continue the excellent work, gain more project milestones and maintain the quality of the work throughout the construction activity.
In other words, Dato’ Sri Darwis, Chief Executive Officer, Malaysia Rail Link (MRL) mentioned, “I am enormously grateful for the dedication and high standards everyone has shown in this project and we have made a very significant progress despite some occasional challenges faced upon completion”.
In addition, ECRL Project has in total sixteen thousand, three hundred and twelve (16,312) pieces of T-beams with eleven (11) beam fabrication yards allocated along the alignment and the Sungai Kuantan Bridge No.4 is the longest bridge in Section 6 and Pahang, and been divided into 5 segments. The bored piling works for this bridge were commenced on 8 July 2020 and completed on 17 April 2021. This bridge is scheduled to be completed in May 2023 after the balance cantilever section is complete for the precast beam to progress towards KotaSAS area.
