Implementation and Coordination Unit (ICU) Board of Directors Officially Visits ECRL Project in Section 1, Kelantan

On August 27th, YBhg. Datuk Haji Ruji bin Haji Ubi, the Head Director of the Implementation and Coordination Unit (ICU) under the authority of the Prime Minister’s department, and other states directors made an inspection visit to East Coast Rail Link Project (ECRL) Section 1 in Tunjong, Kelantan.

The director was welcomed by YBhg. Dato’ Sri Darwis Abdul Razak, Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Rail Link (MRL) and Madam Grace Cheng, Corporate Director of China Communications Construction (ECRL) Sdn Bhd and other relevant officers.

YBhg. Datuk Haji Ruji bin Haji Ubi was briefed about the project update, especially on the Kelantan alignment, overall progress, station designs and land acquisition status. Also, YBhg. Datuk Haji Ruji bin Haji Ubi and his delegates toured the batching plant, fabrication yard, and casting yard throughout the inspection. They were also briefed on the current progress of the ECRL project.

YBhg. Datuk Haji Ruji in his speech mentioned the implementation of good governance practices and the standardization of management execution in this mega infrastructure project is one of the prime examples to practice. Therefore, encouraged his team to implement the same.

He also hopes the ECRL project’s overall construction will be carried out with high standards and be completed on schedule.
